CRIME RATE IN NIGERIA

The rate at which crime is on the increase these days is alarming. Tales of armed robbery, kidnapping, killings and other forms of crime fills the airwaves everyday. Most times when the perpertrators are caught, they either blame it on the devil or the economic situation of the country. 

Causes of Crime

How do some people decide to commit a crime? Do they think about the benefits and the risks? Why do some people commit crimes regardless of the consequences? Why do others never commit a crime, no matter how desperate their circumstances?

The causes of crime are complex. Poverty, parental neglect, low self-esteem, alcohol and drug abuse can be connected to why people break the law.
